XAMPP is an software which is can use for make your computer as local server. With XAMPP, you can use it for exercise your web development skill, for example you can install some popular CMS like WordPress, Drupal, OpenCart, and many more. You can use XAMPP on Windows, Linux, or MacOS. But on this tutorial, I will teach you how to install XAMPP on Windows 10.

Please fill your browser address bar with this link: https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html, and then you can see the box where is have "XAMPP for Windows ..." text. You can choose any version what you need for your web development.
Step 2: Open the XAMPP Installer
After your download has been finish, open that file (the XAMPP installer). On this case, I use XAMPP 5.6.30 version.
Step 3: Let's Install This Application
Just click Yes if you see that dialog box. That dialog box is telling you about antivirus, you can turn off you antivirus. Because according to information from that dialog box, "In some cases, this may slow down or interfere the installation of the software".
Just click Ok button.
Click "Next" button.
On this step, you can customize your installation. Which mean, you can just install some features on XAMPP, simply just check or uncheck. After that, click "Next" button.
You can choose your prefer disk for save the XAMPP. On this case, I choose default, disk C. Click "Next".
If you want to learn more about Bitnami for XAMPP, you can check. And then, click "Next".
Okay, setup is ready to begin installing XAMPP, just click "Next".
Please wait until the progress bar is finish.
Okay, the installation is finish, you can directly run XAMPP by checking "Do you want to start the Control Panel now?", and that you can click "Finish" button.
